Statement: Nothing feels colder than the snow sinking through a thick cotton coat and soaking into the bone. Stranded during a skiing incident and sitting on a mountain surrounded by blankets of white, I looked up to see the vast sky as a grey mess. In this moment, nature seemed to emulate the harshness of industrial metallic facades. Endless Nowhere seeks to visualize that vast feeling of cold loneliness through hazy watercolor-like washes of white and blue, along with solid brushstrokes defining shadows and highlights. The only source of light seems untouchable to a young child; no matter how far one climbs up, the sky never meets their fingertips.
