Statement: As an photographer born and raised in Taiwan, my return to Liberty Square in Taipei last summer was filled with a profound sense of connection and nostalgia. In this photograph, I aim to convey not only the physical beauty of Liberty Square Arch but also the intangible spirit of freedom and resilience that it represents for the Taiwanese people. The grandeur of the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, standing tall amidst the bustling cityscape, serves as a poignant reminder of Taiwan's complex history and unwavering pursuit of democracy.
