Style: Gouache Painting.
Statement: This part piece was made using gouache and consists of three panels all depicting an old tree resting in front of a yellow, hilly background. Starting from the bottom panel, each panel gains a higher variety of shades, with the topmost panel being fully colored and the bottom most panel being simply black and white. The hilly background is reminiscent of the hills scattered all around the East Bay, which I drew inspiration from the sights I see during road trips that went through this hilly region of the Bay Area.
